Inserted new black ink, but it does not print

I see that the printer does not print in black, this could be an issue with the ink cartridge or the printer's ink system. Follow the steps from the document Black Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues to isolate and resolve the issue.
Also, Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.

HI, thanks for replying. Unfortunately, nothing worked.
1 - "Follow the steps from the document Black Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues to isolate and resolve the issue." Did this several times to no avail.
2- No firmware updates for the printer.
I solved the problem by throwing the printer in the trash! I had purchased and installed all new cartridges - expensive! No sense throwing good money after bad!
But, again, I appreciate you answering.
