I ran out of black ink and purchased a new HP 564 cartridge. I have cleaned and cartridges and tried to align. I received alignment error failed, cartridges are set to default quality. The quality diagnosis report shows filled boxes with colors cyan, magenta and yellow. The box for the color black in blank. I looked at the ink levels on the screen and the setup cartridge (bow tie looking one) has yellow exclamation point. Does this have to be replaced in order for black cartridge to print?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Can you send us a picture of that? If you have any spare ink cartridge, do try replacing the ink and check.
