My printer is 3520 deskjet.  Tried cleaning, etc, black ink still won’t print.  Black ink cartridge is outdated but not dry - could this be the problem

@mg-_1946, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues, and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

And yes it could also be a faulty ink cartridge, you can try replacing it and see if that works.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
