I am trying to print 6X9 greeting cards without a border around the edges.  The greeting card software I use has a box to check for borderless printing but I still get the white border anyway.  I am wondering if this printer is incapable of printing without a border or is there an easy fix for this?  Thank you.

@4Dobies,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues printing borderless.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I checked the specifications of your printer and it doesn’t support the borderless printer. Refer to the below link for the specifications.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-deskjet-f300-all-in-one-printer-series/1129389/model/1129390...

Having said that, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  1. Click the Start button.

  2. Click Settings and select Control Panel.

  3. Click the Printers and Faxes icon.

  4. Right-click the HP Deskjet xxxx Series icon and select Properties.

  5. On the General tab, click Printing Preferences to open the Printing Preferences dialog box.

  6. On the Printing Shortcuts tab, select Photo printing-borderless as the type of document, and then select the following options:

    • Print quality: Normal, Best, or Max dpi.

    • Paper size: Select the appropriate borderless photo paper size.

    • Paper type: Select the appropriate photo paper type.

    • Orientation: Portrait or Landscape.

  7. Set the following options as appropriate:

    • HP digital photography options

    • Advanced color settings

    • Color management

    • Grayscale quality

  8. Select any other desired print settings, and then click OK. If the image was printed on photo paper with a tear-off tab, remove the tab to make the document completely borderless.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
