When I plug in the power cable the LCD panel displays HP for several seconds then goes off for a couple of seconds and an error code displays - it was C2FE0157 and now C2FE015A and all the lights start blinking until I unplug again.

 

During this time the printer is silent - none of the usual noises while the carriage moves around - the carriage is jammed on the right side under a black panel and I can't move it across manually.

 

I haven't recently had a paper jam, but I've followed all the steps to unblock the printer - apart from moving the carriage, which appears to be stuck firm.

 

Any tips would be welcome!

Reset the printer

Reset the printer to recover from printer failures.

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

  3. Wait 60 seconds.

  4. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

    NOTE: 

    HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

  5. Turn the printer on.

Also, refer to the document Carriage Jam for troubleshooting steps on the jam issue. If the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

I did all you suggest. No change.

After the 2 type of errors, no access to any function.

Is it possible to flash the printer from the USB/SD ports ?
