CARDSTOCK PRINTING ISSUE OFFICEJET 8020

HP Recommended
LENOVO IDEAPAD S340
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just purchased the officejet 8020 today and plan to use it regularly to print 110lb cardstock. Ran my first stock through it and it is cutting off the design at the top, essentially shifting the print job up the page by starting to print too early. Same basic PDF image prints fine on regular paper and printer seems to handle the 110lb easily except for the alignment issue. I have rerun alignment on the printer and no change.

Help please!

Nothing is mentioned about the software you are using - or whether you installed the printer software.

For the moment, assuming you have installed the Full Feature Software,

  • Be sure to select the Media type (kind of paper) when setting up the job.
  • Check to make sure your Card paper is within the weight limitations for the Media.

If you do not find a specific Media type for "card" or "heavy card", consider "Brochure matte" (or Brochure glossy if your labels are glossy).
