Hi @Geo73,
I thank you for your quick reply. I understand where you come from. We don't live in Bill Gates neighborhood. However, at this stage, the printer cannot be fixed as it has a hardware issue and has run its course.
Trust me I've done all I can to assist you by keeping your best interest in mind. Please contact HP phone support for further assistance. There is nothing much that can be done on the forums to get it fixed.
Please contact Hp phone support for the best possible upgrade or replacement option under the circumstances.
I wish you very well. I hope the issue gets resolved quickly.
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.
If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
You take care, stay healthy, keep smiling big and have a blessed year ahead. 🙂

Hi @Geo73,
Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums! 🙂 Good day. :) I read your post about alignment issues with the printer. I will be delighted to assist you here. 🙂
You’ve done an excellent job on troubleshooting the issue from your end. 🙂 Kudos to you on that score. It is always a privilege to work with technical specialists like you. 🙂
We greatly value your relationship with HP. You are a valued HP customer and we appreciate you greatly for doing business with HP. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you.
First off, the issue clearly looks like a hardware issue with the printer.
If you’ve followed all the steps from these links HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One Printer Series (C311) - An 'Alignment failed' Error Message Displays on the Printer: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-7510-e-All-in-One-Printer-series---C3/5070118/mode...
and link 2: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-7510-e-All-in-One-Printer-series---C3/5070118/mode...
Then the printer has a hardware issue and I would request you to contact HP phone support to get the unit replaced or upgraded. Steps to contact HP phone support:
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number, Case number and phone number appear.
They will be happy to assist you immediately. If the printer is under warranty, the factory warranty should take care of it for you.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂 Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you. 🙂
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.
If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles. 🙂
Take care now and have a splendid week ahead. 🙂
