HP ENVY 5052

When I use the Wireless setup wizard, it can find the router, but it shows the security: No Encryption, therefore, I cannot enter the password to get it connected. Could anybody help please?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's restore the Printer's network settings:

To restore the printer to the original network settings 1. From the Home screen, touch (Wireless) and then touch ( Settings ). 2. Touch Restore Network Settings, and then follow the onscreen instructions. 3. Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.

Once done, connect the Printer to the Wi-Fi through wireless setup wizard.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Betty,

Thank you for providing the solution. However, I've done this and if didn't work.

The problem is after the reset, when I try to connect to the SSID that my router provided, it doesn't give me the option to enter the password.

In the printed out network configuration page, I noticed that the SSID has privacy set as disabled, and nothing under Auth and Encrypt, and WPS is set to No. Does this tell you something?

Thanks a lot!

Tammy

Do the other devices connect to the Wi-Fi?

Let's restore the Printer completely: 1. On the printer control panel display, from the Home screen, swipe left to see ( Setup ) and touch ( Setup ). 2. Touch Tools , touch Restore Factory Defaults, and then follow the onscreen instructions
