After cleaning the print head, the carriage is slamming into the right side and causing a cartridge jam.

I can confirm this issue is caused by the print head being installed incorrectly after cleaning. Open it back up and notice the purple-ish ribbon running along the back of the print head with a black dot and triangle indicator on the right side of the ribbon. If you inspect the ribbon closely, you'll see it is somewhat textured with lines running up and down the ribbon every millimeter or so (I didnt didnt measure them, there are tons). This ribbon is encoded to communicate to the print head what its' current position is. Now look at the back side of the print head, and you will note the ribbon reader in the middle of the print head between the 2 retaining springs. The ribbon will almost naturally sit inside the ribbon reader within the lower slot. That is wrong. The ribbon must sit in the upper slotted section, which will take a little fiddling. Be careful not to damage the ribbon, if it is damaged, there is no repair, it will cause errors in print accuracy, and the ribbon will need replacing. I know the previous posters of this issue recycled their unit and got a new printer, which is disappointing, since it was a simple mistake, which would have taken 5 minutes to correct. Hope this helps someone out there!
