Cartridge error on a brand new envy 5010

Envy 5010

Bought today and printed test page! Error now on colour cartridge and can only print from black once colour cartridge removed!

Hello, it just says cartridge error and I have established it is the colour one as black works in single mode but colour doesn’t!

Hello,

 

okay, then please do the following steps:

 

1. turn on the printer and wait until it stops making noise
2. Remove both cartridges and close the access door.
3. Now, with the printer on, unplug the power plug from the back of the printer and wait 60 seconds.
4. now plug in the power cable and put the cartridges back in.

 

In addition to that, update the printer's firmware. You'll find instructions on this hyperlink:

If this doesn't help, please contact HP.    ➡️  Contact HP

There is either a problem with the cartridge or the printer and the fastest solution is to speak with an HP employee.😊
