What changes inside when wireless printer changes status from offline to online?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

If you touch the wireless icon, it should come back online. The wireless card inside the printer gets enabled when the printer is online.

Thank you. I accepted your solution. Though I still have some doubts. I saw many times the printer was printing in the off-line status. I was happy that it was printing at all, but I didn't know why that was happening.
