HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 will not print and the error message on the screen is:-  DNS/Gateway Problem ...... the printer could not connect to the server.  Contact the person who set up the printer.

 

Can anyone help me with this please.  My printer is wireless and 2 computers are connected.

@ranter, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

 

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network > Restore network settings

 

Restart the network devices

  1. Turn off the Router, Printer, and the computer/ mobile devices.
  2. Wait for 60 seconds.
  3. Turn on the Router first and wait for all the lights to stabilize.
  4. Turn on the printer and allow it to configure itself.
  5. Turn on the computer/ mobile devices.

Connect the printer to the wireless network by going to Setup > Network setup > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard.
