Deskjet 3520 not printing PDF files

Our deskjet 3520 all in one prints webpages and pictures fine, but will not print PDF files.  The print comes out very faint. 
The drivers are up to date 

Ink levels are full

prints test pages fine

we just can’t figure out the problems

• Are you using a Win PC or a MAC?
• If you are able to print other documents fine, it means this is an application-specific issue.
• Have you tried updating/reinstalling the Adobe reader app?
• You may also try printing the PDF documents as an Image. Refer to this document to know how.

using a MACbook air with airdrop (that’s the specs the laptop added the printer)

and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, all updates done

So far we have the printer printing part of the header in Magenta, then blank page

Tried printing as a image, the whole page came out in magenta

Update

sort of sorted.  Got file printed in light black, printer cartridge is full, but at least it’s printed

Had to use ‘print as image’ , not the perfect way to go, but will live with it 😊

If you are able to print other documents fine, and the issue is only limited to PDF documents, this could be ab application-specific issue.

You may also try using the 'preview' app to print the PDF files and check if the issue persists.
