After loading the full software, I had two beautiful icons: One for HP Print and one for HP Scan. Somehow they have disappeared. I tried uninstalling/installing the software and using Print and Scan Doctor but I cannot get tem back. I searched the HP folders but cannot find them to make shortcuts. I seached the community archives and could not find the solution. HELP!

Hi @laynelab
Having shortcuts on the desktop screen saves a lot of time and makes it easier to open the applications. Who wouldn't want them, right?
When you install the full-featured driver from the HP Support site, a shortcut to the HP Printer Assistant is automatically created on the desktop.
Make sure this is installed. Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.
Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you have already installed the full-featured driver, on the PC, go to the search bar, type in your printer name > right-click > send to desktop.
To create a scan shortcut:
Open File Explorer and browse to drive C under 'This PC'.
Open Program Files (x86), then open the HP folder and the printer model folder.
Open the bin folder, then right click HPScan.exe and select Send to > Desktop.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
