Product: HP Deskjet 1512 printer

I've spent many hours unsuccessfully trying to work out how to install free software onto my laptop so I can print from this printer. I have tried numerous download sites (including through hp.com) but still unable to print!

 

Really need someone who can walk (a techno-idiot) through this issue so I can be able to print asap! (especially someone who has this printer too!)
