Despite all the test pages and the scanned copies are printed perfectly, when I try to print any document from my iphone - both with and without the hp smart app - the printer will seem to work fine, it will move as per a normal process, but the page will be completely white when it comes out.

The ink is original and when I print the test pages it works just fine, the problem exists only when I try to print wireless, even if everything is correctly connected to our secured wifi and all our devices instantly find the printer and successfully send it all the documents. The printer does not display error messages.

I tried with several smartphones and computers, the result doesn't change.

@Clairevilk, Welcome to HP Support Community!

To provide you with an accurate solution, I would like to know the following-

When was the last time you were able to print fine from your iPhone?

Did you make any changes to the devices, both the iPhone and the printer recently?

Which application are you trying to print from?

Also, I tried with several smartphones and computers, the result doesn't change- does this mean that printing from PC's also has the same issue?

Meanwhile, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.

For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Dear TEJ1602,

many thanks for your kind reply.

It was several months since I printed successfully from iPhone from that printer, we don't use it often, so I wouldn't be able to tell the exact moment when it stopped working.

The only change we made in the meantime was the wi-fi router and password, but after udating the settings, the wireless connection always worked just fine. In fact, the printer is visible from all our devices and  always seems to receive the files, it just gives us blank pages.

I also tried from my macbook, connecting with the usb cable but the result doesn't change.

I followed your instructions and downloaded the firmware for the Envy 5000 series, but the program says that there aren't updates available for my printer. Looking at the printer display and menu, it shows that the printer is regularly updated (via automatic updates).

The strange thing is that if I scan a document, it just prints it fine.

Thanks again for your assistance.
