HP Envy 5660 printer

Printer is a couple months old - previously printing photos worked fine - recently (about a week ago) the photos no longer print - color does not come out and the ink does not seem to dry.  New black and color ink cartridges were installed recently.  Something happened between about a month ago and just a week ago when photos no longer print.

Hi @nitsua43,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing print quality issues with your
HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer.

This issue could occur if the electrical contacts on the cartridge or the printer are not working.

Let's go through a few steps that may help to fix this issue.

And here are a few steps for you in the link: Fixing Print Quality Problems

You may also check the links below depending upon the operating system installed on the computer:

1. How to Print Photos (Windows)

2. How to Print Photos (Mac)

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.

You don't specifiy if the prints come out but in B&W only.   You don't say if other documents print on plain paper in B&W or color.   If you can't get any color printing, I wonder about the cartridtes.   If they do, I don't have any suggestions.

However, you could have used up all the color in the newer cartridges since last install.   The front of the printer can display color levels.  EIven though the color cartridge seems ok, maybe another one will work? ( Expensive to find out that that doesn't solve it.)    Also, did you try removing and reinstalling the cartridge?
