Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought this printer last week, after my previous HP printer suddenly stopped printing anything but cyan.  Now, this printer will not print yellow.  I have run through the entire suggested troubleshooting sequence and chatted with the bot. None of that is working, and it is still not using yellow ink.

 

I am apparently not able to speak to an agent, because the printer (that, again, I purchased new last week) has a warranty that expired in November.

 

My computer is also an HP and less than two months old.  What gives?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • Have you tried using an alternate color ink cartridge and check if the issue persists?
  • Try making a standalone copy  in color and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
  • Check the ink level in the color ink cartridge.

Make sure you have tried steps 10 and 13 from this document to resolve this issue.

Print a test page and check if yellow prints (step 😎
