I have HP connect, have been getting ink from HP since i purchased this printer. Everything was fine until recently the color cartridge gives me the incompatible error. I can print Black fine, but not with color installed.
I have followed to steps on the forum to disconnect the power, reset the printer, but still not working.

Also, have you checked you HP Instant Ink account page? Your Instant Ink account page will have notifications if there are any issues with the account or recent cartridge shipment, it will even provide solutions on how to fix the issue. You may log in to your HP Instant Ink account page from here.
