I don't understand Bil1965's response.

I do not know what is causing the error.

All I know is that when I stopped WiFi in the printer and then connected it up using USB, I have been able to print for a week with no errors at all.

Also, I know nothing about Instant ink and would guess that it is not causing the error.  I do not use Instant ink.

Ok Thanks. I have ordered a new printer. 

My point was I got a message today saying there was a fix. 
It’s a WI-FI printer so just connecting a USB cable isn’t much help.  I use it to print from IPad - like it was designed to do.
