My printer sat for 7 to 8 months. I installed all new ink, today. Printer started the maintenance but stopped with "Printer Failure". Any thing I try to do is met with "There is a problem with the printer or printer system and I get an “0x6100004a” error code and I am not too computer knowledgeable,

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your computer.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Check for any jammed papers inside the printer and if the print carriage is moving freely.
Perform step 2 to step 4 mentioned in this document under 'The 'Printer Failure' message includes an error code such as 0x610000f6'
