Error:remove and reinstall cartridge. Done 3 times/appears to be a loose ribbon that leads to cartri

macOS 10.12 Sierra

Keep getting error: remove and reinstall cartridge. Done that 3 times plus shut down printer also. It appears to be a loose ribbon that leads to cartridge that may be causing the error. It worked fine yesterday and nothing was changed to cause this error. Thanks for any help!

If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
