F380 will only print one line from print in computer. Prints OK when using printer button

My Hp Desk Jet F380 All in One will only print the first line, carriage keeps going but paper does not feed, have re installed drivers, checked for paper jam (albeit I think the problem started after a paper jam). Prints OK from print button but not from a command print from the computer. Frustrated. now it wont scan from scan button, however scans from HP Solution Centre.

Hi,

Please unplug the USB cable and try making a copy, how does it work?

Try moving the USB cable to another port at the back of your PC

From your description, I suggest try a different USB cable, it seems like a faulty cable to cause such printing and scanning behavior from the PC.

Ensure the USB cable is not longer than 2 meters long and directly connected to the PC, not through any USB hubs or extensions.

Thanks Sholomil, Unplugged the USB Cable made a copy.

Moved USB cable to another port on the back.

Tried a different cable, cable not longer than 2 metres.

Stipp printing one line.

Went round to a mates place, He had a Epson Workforce Pro WF-3720 that was too much trouble to set up, boght it for a $100 Pulled out the F380 used same port and same USB cable, Epson works fine F380 now going out to the shed with a old XP computer.
