Failed 302 cartridge

I have a nearly full 302xl tri-colour cartridge that my deskjet 3630 is now reporting a communications error with when inserted.  I have bought a replacement cartridge that works fine so it's definitely not the printer.  The faulty cartridge is still under warranty until 2021 according to the date printed on the cart itself.

 

The only support option I can find on the HP website is to phone a tech support number that I would have to pay for which I obviously don't want to do.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to help you with the cartridge error.

 

Please try these steps - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

 

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding this. 

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty.
