Freshly installed HP364 Inks not prinnting

Deskjet 3520
Microsoft Windows XP

I installed fresh set of HP364 inks on Monday but though the printer operates, the ink is not printing although wet and correctly installed. Please does anyone have an explanation and solution.

I hope so very much.  Thank you.

Freshly installed HP364 Inks not prinnting

Hi @P1-A_n

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the ink cartridge error.

Let's try these steps -

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Update the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Also, try cleaning the ink cartridges - HP Inkjet Printers - Ink Cartridge Errors

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest try installing new ink or check with the old ink to see if the ink LEDs on the printer still flash.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Regrettably, I went back to Curry's PC World (tech help) in Winchester, where I bought the 3520 several years ago. The adviser thought that the roller heads (?) or something like had failed and it wasn't 'worth' repairing. I couldn't argue and hadn't had a reply to my enquiry so bought a 2620. Unfortunately, I realised too late that it doesn't back to back or print quantities. Too late to take it back. I'm taking the 3520 back for disposal, sadly.
