Fuzzy or blurred black ink after installed new cartridge

HP3830, HP63 printer ink
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I recently reviewed the trouble shooting techniques from the discussion with @Rebecca12. I have the same problem, that I installed new color cartridge and new black cartridge. The color opporates fine, but the black comes out fuzzy.

I have aligned the printer, but the printer does not detect the printed alignment page when scanned. I have cleaned the ink cartridges multiple times, checked print quality, taken the ink cartridge out and back in again, re aligned, re- scanned, re-cleaned all a second or some a third time. The result is the same. 

I have a mac, so I don't have the same procedures to try to uninstall the printer and install again as that of Windows. I would need help with that and any other advice that you can give to try to correct the ink cartridge.

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

 

Reinstalling the printer drivers will not help as this seems to be a hardware issue with the black ink cartridge.

 

If the printer was working fine with the old black ink cartridge, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding replacement options for the black ink cartridge.
