I get the following error message after replacing the color ink cartridge on my Officejet 4630 "The following ink cartridge must be replaced." I have followed all of the diagnostics (reset printer, clean contacts, etc.) to no avail. I even ordered a new cartridge thinking the cartridge might be defective. No luck. Interestingly, if I put the old color cartridge back in, the message goes away.

Update the printer firmware
Here are the steps:- Click here
If the issue persists,
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
