You broke my printer because I wouldn't spend $100.00 in ink for a 4 year old printer...

I bought some after market ink cartridges because I don't have $80 to $100 for ink, my computer displayed a message that said they weren't HP cartridges and quit printing...The cartridges are fine...I turned off security but the printer is dead...The computer and printer and speaking with each other fine but nothing will print from my computer...I did some reading and found this was placed in the firmware which is a pretty **bleep**ty thing to do...I downloaded the latest firmware, disconnected and connected, plugged and unplugged but nothing...

Apologies for the inconvenience caused. I understand your concern. HP does not recommend the use of non-HP ink cartridges. It may or may not work.

Since you are using non-HP ink cartridges and unable to print, kindly contact the HP Support team in your region who will be able to assist you further with this issue. Click here for more info.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks but I think I'll just buy an Epson or a Brother, but first I'll do some reading to make sure whatever  I buy isn't using HP's ink tactics...
