When the printer is switched on, it comes up with a "The printer could not connect to the internet..." etc message. Pressing OK to retry, it just brings the message back. No other functions appear to be available - e.g. I can't use it as a copier. The wireless button's blue light is always flashing.

Doing a WPS with the router makes no difference.

However, I can quite happily print from the laptop to the printer using a wireless connection (both laptop & printer are wireless). Whilst this is happening the message changes to "Printing" and then goes back to the "not connecting" message.

So, obviously the printer is connected to the internet but its diagnostics don't realise this. Presumably something's gone wrong with it's internal diagnostics and it can't see that it is connected.

Any ideas on how to fix this, or at least how to be able to use the printer's copy function as well as the (still working) printing from the laptop.

Sounds like the printer is trying to connect to Web Services.

This printer can no longer use Web Services - the service should be shut off.
