HP 6230 and HP7110 Installation conflict

HP6230 and HP7110
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have two HP printers installed on my computer HP 7110 and HP 6230 both would not install properly either with latest drivers from your site or from installing using Windows (10).

I managed to get each printer working using the HP print and scan doctor. But when I get the 7110 working the 6230 will not work and the other way around.

When the 7110 works and I try to print on the 6230 the system tells me the printer is not installed. When I use the HP printer and scanner doctor to fix it and I can print on the 6230 but then the 7110 shows as not being installed. I would like to switch between printers without having to install and uninstall the drivers each time.

I have tried install and uninstalling many times but, I have two cannon printers that work ok so it must be a conflict between the two hp printer drivers.

HP 6230 and HP7110 Installation conflict

@Al40

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of both the software's:

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Once done, please download and install the software for both the Printer's from here:
