HP 7645 ENVY
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I am unable to use any features of my HP 7645 ENVY printer/Fax/Scanner/Copier because of this ERROR MESSAGE

"Remove & reinstall the indicated ink cartridge making sure it is correctly installed & than touch OK"

I have repeatedly removed & reinstalled both cartridges correctly; unplugged and rebooted the printer but keep getting the same message.

Yesterday I purchased 2 more HP 62 ink cartridges from Best Buy only to get the same ERROR MESSAGE.

If I can't resolve this I pray Best Buy will let me return them for credit maybe to use toward another printer, but NOT ANOTHER HP PRINTER

In the meantime, Any help is deeply appreciated.

@Bellalupo, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that the printer is in an error state and I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.

If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!

I called HP Tech support on Saturday, but because it’s out of warranty they wanted $19.99 before they would allow me to talk to a human being. Couldn’t help feeling taken advantage of.

The thought of having to pay just to find  out my options felt so uninviting; like A road sign warning me of very expensive road up ahead.  A road where I couldn’t afford to go beyond the first step, so what’s the point.

Shame because this printer is in pristine physical condition and barely used

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Received a private message requesting product information (model; serial number etc) I submitted all the requested information but have not heard back.  I understand the COVID has us all dealing with a very difficult situation, so I am glad to be patient. I would just like an acknowledgement that they received my information and an estimate of when I might hear back.

Thank you for understanding.
