Has HP issued a software update to overcome the scanning issue with the Mac Software update to Catalina Operating System? There was a long post with 11 pages of responses but it was advised to start a new post. They had used a work around but promised that they were developing a software update for scanning rather than a work around.

HP Easy Scan is not yet compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina. We're actively working to restore complete functionality. I suggest using HP Smart app or Apple Image capture to scan from your MAC. Kindly refer to this document to know how.
