My 8740 printer boots up and is fine for about 5 seconds, and then all lights flash and the error code/blue screen shows the Error Code: B8F3A4C6. Cannot login to it, nor access any of the controls after this happens. Same with wired or wireless connection. Stuck. Please advise. What does this error code indicate?

More information: If I turn off my router so no wireless network is available to attach, the printer is stying up. I reset network settings and tried to connect again and it crashes consistently with the same error message...

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you. Currently, there is no information available for the error B8F3A4C6. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Check for any paper jams inside the printer and make sure the print carriage is moving freely.
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
