It's been a long time since I posted, so my memory is a bit fuzzy. Also- I am NOT the most computer-savvy, so please ask around first & post update(s).
I believe I ended up re-installing the driver software for my printer (from HP). I think it was an automatic update on my PC that caused my printer to go nuts.
I would find the driver software online first (ONLY from a trusted site; there's lots of malware out there & I don't recall if I could find the driver from HP's site). Next, remove the one on your PC before downloading the one from online.
Again, please post any updates, as this is a common problem.
