HP Deskjet 5180 how to turn off the "auto-off" setting

Hello,

How can I turn off "auto-off" setting that was automatically set to 2 hours and its on, I cannot disable somehow?

I have tried with HP assistant toolbox, Advanced setting but there was just shown that the option is enabled and it set to 2 hours.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Auto-off comes into the picture only if the printer is not used or is in the idle state for 2 hours.

Auto-Off, sometimes called Power Save Mode, turns the printer completely off after a set period of time (usually two hours). You must press the power button to turn the printer back on.

In this model printer, there is no option to disable it. This is as per the design.

Thank you for your replay.

But what if I connect printer on LAN connection, in the user manual it says If its connected on LAN connection will stay wake up all the time. Currently I have connected printer on USB and when computer its turn off the printer goes in auto-off power saver mode.

You may connect the printer to the wireless network or via ethernet cable to disable to auto-off feature on the printer.

For more info, you may refer to page 23 of the user guide.

If the printer is network-connected, this feature is disabled by the printer.
