HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2135 not recognizing coloured ink cartridge

HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2135
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I replaced my coloured ink cartridge last week. It was working fine and I could print. Today, when I turned on my printer, the indicator for the coloured ink is blinking and I can't print anything. I thought maybe the cartridge was defective so I bought another one, but after putting the new one in, the light is still blinking. 

 

Already tried:

* Uninstalling and installing drivers

* Removed both black and coloured cartridges, unplugging the power cord while power is still on, waited 30 seconds and plugged it in, inserted the cartriges back

Try cleaning the electric contacts, this link explains how.
