So, whenever I go to print something, which isn't often, my printer barely prints anything out.  As in, it will print, but the lines are jagged and unreadable. I was just trying to print a return label this evening, and the printer ignored my print jobs.  I align it, and the alignment goes through and I still have the same issues.

What happens when you make a photocopy on the printer?

Have you tried printing a print quality diagnostic report on the printer? Here is how you do it-

 

  1. Make sure to load the input tray with plain, white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

  3. Touch Tools.

  4. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Print Quality Report.

If the results are not as it looks in the above image, follow the steps from the document  Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues.

Sorry to get back to you so late.  I am working on at the moment.  So far I printed the quality report but it barely printed.  WIll continue working with the links.

I try to print a page of church donations.  It is all black type, except the Cross Symbol of the church at the top left, and the Pastor's signature at the bottom.  When printing, only the cross symbol and signature show up on the page.
