HP ENVY Photo 7858

Hi everyone,

My HP ENVY Photo 7858 is only printing blank pages. Prior to it only printing blank pages it was printing with gaps and with text fading. I checked the ink levels, thinking we were running low on ink and the ink levels were good. I selected “clean cartridges” at least 20x and still prints out blank pages. I have selected to align the cartridges, clean the smears and yet each page is blank. I have selected to print various reports and they too are blank. I have tried doing a reset of the printer and it’s still printing blank pages. I have tried making copies and they too come out as blank pages. I have tried printing directly from the computer through USB and WiFi and it is only printing blank pages. Don’t know what else to try

Welcome to HP support community.

Manually clean the area around the ink nozzles

  1. Gather the following materials:

    • A clean, lint-free cloth or a clean, dry cotton swab

    • Distilled or bottled water

         CAUTION:

      Do not use tap water because it might contain contaminants that can damage the printhead.

The proposed solution did not work for me.  What else should I try?

@jprtinker Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are getting blank pages.

Please let me know if you are using HP genuine ink cartridges.

Have you replaced the ink cartridges and check for the issue?

Please clean the contact of the ink cartridges and check.

  • For a start please print a test page by following the steps from this printer’s user guide http://hp.care/2t9k5tz and check if it prints it out correctly. Please refer to pages 135 and 142 only on how to do it.
  • If it prints the test page correctly the printer may not have any hardware issues and it could be driver related.

If the teste page prints fine, you have to reinstall the printer drivers.
