HP Envy 4500 - Regionalization reset

hp envy 4500 all in one

Hi, I bought my US 4500 Envy printer to Switzerland. This printer worked with Cartridge 61, that are not available here. I want to rest the printer to Europe region to use Cartridge 301 - which I have - , but I am not able to get in touch with HP Assistance to do this, I seem unable to reach a "real Person", unless I pay in advance for a pack support. 

Can anyone help providing a link that works ?, or phone.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

HP customizes some printers and ink cartridges to meet local customer needs. If you take your printer from one country/region to another country/region, you might not find ink cartridges with the same number on the label as your original ink cartridges. If you install an ink cartridge with a different number on the label, you might see one of the following error messages:

  • Incompatible Cartridges

  • Cartridge Not Intended for this Printer

  • Incorrect Cartridges

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.  

  

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
