HP Envy 4500 will not feed photo paper

HP Envy 4500
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Envy 4500 will not feed glossy photopaper. Not even HP premium plus photo paper.  All printer settings are correct, with the correct paper type selected. There are no error messages.  Printer starts normally to print but can't grip and feed glossy paper. I have cleaned rollers with no success. It has no problem with matte photopaper.  It appears to be a failure to grab and grip glossy paper.

@Dr_C,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Please refer to the below link and make sure you are using the photo paper which is supported by the printer.

If the paper is supported and you are still facing the issue, then I recommend you update the printer firmware following the steps in the below article.

Firmware update did not help.  Latest firmware was already loaded.  I suspect rollers have insufficient tension to grip the glossy HP photopaper. Is there a way to adjust roller grip?

@Dr_C

This looks like a hardware issue.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
