HP Envy 5535 won't print even one page

HP Envy 5535
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have to say I've always been a supporter of HP products... but after 3 weeks (and probably longer) of trying to get my HP Envy 5535 to print the entire page of a document I've given up.  I've done all the troubleshooting (manual IP, deleted and reinstalled the software) and I'm at my wit's end with this piece of crap.

Other than the steps I've done above, what else can I do to get this doorstop to print one page of a document?

HP sure isn't the product it used to be.

HP Envy 5535 won't print even one page

@Debbie_R

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Envy 5535 Printer. I understand that you are unable to print and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

Are you getting any error message while printing?

How is the printer connected to the computer?

Meanwhile:

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  6. Turn on the printer

Reply with the result of the above-mentioned steps, for further assistance.

Cheers.

@SNang227

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

To help you further with this, let us know the Printer name and the Operating System installed on the device your Printer is connected to.

Also, what is the size and type of paper being used? Does this happen from a particular application or on all applications?

Thanks 🙂

@SNang227

Which version of iOS are you using?

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Let us try these steps to resolve any hardware related issues:

Check estimated ink levels, and then replace any low or empty cartridges

From the home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Ink icon (). The control panel displays the estimated ink levels.

Use an automated tool to clean the printhead

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the Settings icon ().

  2. Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Printhead. The printer cleans the printhead, and then prints a test page.

  3. If the print quality is not good, touch Clean Again. The printer cleans the cartridges again, and then prints another test page.
NOTE:

You might need to clean the printhead several times for optimal print quality.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the Settings icon , and then touch Tools.

    The Tools Menu displays.

  2. Touch Print Quality Report.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
