HP Envy 5540

Okay so basically my printer is coming up saying that I have a carriage jam and that my ink cartridges aren’t installed.

there’s no carriage jam, ink cartridges are in and are not damaged at all, no tape on them either. Carriage has been completely cleaned and emptied, and I’ve tried doing a hard reset and factory reset but it’s still not working, can’t even connect the printer back up to the WiFi because the error messages pop up all the time.

i know at this point that I need to get it serviced but it’s out of warranty and I’m fed up of waiting ages to be connected for a call and the online chat doesn’t help what so ever. It turns out it’s out of warranty - although I seem to remember buying it with 3 years but it ran out in 2017, the year I bought it 😕 not HP’s fault though, probably where I bought it from.

Can anybody help? I’ve done what HP have told me to do multiple times. Does anybody know how much it costs to get it serviced or is it just worth buying a new printer? I ideally need it to be fixed before Wednesday but I doubt that will happen

thanks!
