Hi Asmita--having the same issues with HP Envy 7855. Wife threw away box with the setup cartridges in the box!

Now we can't print obviously b/c we can't get past "Use Setup Cartridges"

 

Please offer solution!  thank you!

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

We will have to perform a reset on the printer to bypass this error.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Could you send me the same info on bypassing setup cartridges for 7855. It reads the color cartridge but shows black as not having any ink. Just got the printer yesterday and have been trying to install for 2 days!

HP Envy Photo 7855 All-In-One printer. Bought toner for it but getting the "use setup cartridges that came with printer" message. Printer was purchased in late 2018 and never used, the setup cartridges were not in the box. Please tell me how to bypass the setup cartridges or where to purchase them; I've done a hard reset SEVERAL times. Been through every possible step available trough HP Support (other than actually talking to a representative), tried solutions from other sites (youtube, etc.) always goes back to the same message. please help. ive wasted a day doing this.
