HP Envy 4500
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Envy gives the message Improper Shutdown to avoid damage use the power button then displays ERROR CODE 0XB030A8E3 and the power button just flashes.   I can not shut down the printer using the power button.  It just goes thru the cycle like it is powering up and then get same message as above followed by the error code.

I have unplugged the printer from the back and the wall numerous times and I still get the same message when I plug it back in.

We had a power failure and my printer has not been operational since.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Try connecting the Pinter to a different wall socket directly.

If you open the ink cartridge door, does the ink cartridge carrier move?

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!
