Any help appreciated. My black ink cartridge started failing this time last year. The problem was never resolved and I gave up trying to fix it through support and used the print with just colour cartridge option. Now the printer won't print at all, even in that mode. The whole machine has been cleaned as instructed and have tried three new black cartridges, all have failed. Does anyone have ANY other ideas? I really don't want to throw it in the bin, it is less than 2 years old but I am fed up, really should last longer than that 😞

That's unfortunate. If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge, and the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

I am afraid those are all the things I tried when I reported the issue the first two/three times I reported the problem. None work. I have just repeated them three times to 'triple' check. Is there any way of getting the printer repaired, it is out of warranty of course as that is only one year.

 

With regards replacing it, I think it very unlikely I will buy HP again given this one has failed within two years - it is hardly ever used as my account will show! But I would like to fix this one.

Unfortunately, there are no other options. You may take it to a local repair shop to get it repaired at your own discretion. It may or may not work.
