My ENVY 4520 printer is giving me a "remove and reinstall the indicated ink cartridge making sure it is correctly installed" error message that I cannot resolve, despite following those instructions repeatedly.
I have had this issue for months now and still no luck. I am an instant ink subscriber and can't figure out why I may have this problem as I've always used HP products. Please advise before I buy a new printer, non HP!

You are welcome - we do not ordinarily intervene - the last few days have been particularly irritating. I don't want someone to be caught by an obvious ploy - but not everyone sees these things as obvious.
You have likely read each of the troubleshooting documents at least twice by now.
I will ask that someone take a look.
Should there be a response, the moderator / agent will post back here before using other methods to contact you.
You also have the option to contact your Instant Ink support group.
Honestly, I don't know if that will help; it depends on the issue.

Unsolicited response to "not buying HP":
This product shows having been introduced in 2015. In my unsolicited opinion, nearly five years (or even four years) is a very long service time for a budget printer. I cannot dissuade you from your brand bias, of course - the statement is merely an observation.
