HELLO I HAVE AN HP OFFICEJET PRO 8600 AND HAS BEEN WORKING FINE BUT OUT THE BLUE IT TELLS ME "PRINTER FAILURE THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE PRINTER OR INK SYSTEM. TURN PRINTER OFF, THEN ON . IF PROBLEM PERSISTS, CONTACT HP" I NEED SOME HELP I HAVE UNPLUGGED FROM THE BACK AND FROM WALL ...CHECKED FOR ANY PAPER JAMS AND HAVE FOUND NOTHING TO WORK ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Welcome to HP Support community.

 

Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges

  1. Open the door to access to the ink cartridges.

  2. Wait until the carriage stops moving before you continue.

  3. Push the ink cartridge to remove it, and then push it into its slot until it snaps into place.

  4. Repeat these steps for the other three ink cartridges.

  5. Close the ink cartridge access door.

Check the carriage for a printhead latch

Open the door to access to the ink cartridges, and then determine if the carriage inside the printer has a printhead latch.
