HP8610
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My HP8610 printer was fine.  I shut it down for the night.  Next morning, it would not turn on.  I changed the power cord and verified the cord worked.  I installed a new internal power adapter.   Still no power, no lights, no leds, no nothing.

Help!

And I did the usual HP Support Rep suggestions to the point the next thing to do was to have it serviced by HP.  But warranty expired about 2017.

Also, I bought a used HP8610.  The black was fine.  The colors were smeary.  So I cleaned the print head.   But now the HP8610 says all my ink cartridges are damaged.   So I replaced the cartridges with new HP 950/951xl ink cartridges.  It was happy for about 5 minutes and now says they are all damaged and to replace them.

Help!

Also, on my "no power" HP8610, how do I move the print head unit to the left so I can remove the cartridges out of it.  No power remember?   There a carriage release lever to do so, or so I heard, but where is the carriage release lever?

Thanks!

@cxhmk5, Welcome to HP Support Community!

If you have already performed the steps from the document Printer Does Not Turn On and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
