Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Cannot seem to get the printer to print anything when sending over the web or sending the command from within the HP Smart App on my PC. I'm on a Windows 10 64 bit OS. Printer and scanner were working absolutely fine and suddenly stopped. Managed to get test pages printing but the black ink doesn't seem to print while the color ink is printing on the test pages. Black ink levels are ok and tried printer head cleaning etc. but still no luck. Appreciate any help.

@GavinC, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Have you tried using an alternate black ink cartridge and check if that helps?
  • Try making a standalone copy in black and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

If you have tried to clean the printhead and the black does not print on the test page, this could be a hardware issue.
