OfficeJet 3830

My brand new OfficeJet 3830 prints only in color, when I try to print documents with black text it simply does not print it.
I have checked and it shows I am more than 50% full in black ink.

What can I do? never experienced such a thing.

Thanks,

Oren

I have gone through your Post and I understand your concerns

Let;s try cleaning the Printhead and check if that helps

  1. Load plain paper into the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

  3. Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Cartridges.

  4. The printer performs the automated cleaning process and then prints a Print Quality Diagnostic page.

    • If the print quality is acceptable, you can stop troubleshooting.

    • If the print quality is unacceptable, touch OK for a Second-level Cleaning when prompted to continue the next level of cleaning.

NOTE:  If the ink cartridge nozzles are badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform both levels of cleaning again.

Hi,

I have done both cleansing phases but still - the paper comes out with no black printed ink and the printer shows it is half full.

I cannot use the printer like that.

What can I do? could it be that the ink cartridge itself is not good and I should try replacing to a new one?

Thanks,

Oren
